Loyola Captures Dogfight With Siena
Siena's defense smothered Loyola for almost the entire game, but the Saints could not capitalize on the offense end and fell 55-45 Sunday afternoon at Reitz Arena. Lily Grenci had another yeoman like effort for the Saints, posting her third double-double of the season with 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Siena (6-10, 2-3) enters Sunday's matchup coming off back-to-back wins over Manhattan and Saint Peter's and with a win would move back to .500 in conference play. Thursday, Siena put up 75 points in their win at Saint Peter's and shot 51.9% from the field and dished out 21 assists, marking the program's highest totals in four years.

Senior captain Lily Grenci had alot to do with the Saints' offensive explosion, scoring 20 of her career-high 30 points in the first half. Over the past six games she's averaging 19.5 points and 9.7 rebounds and in two games last season against Loyola (6-10, 1-4) averaged 18.5 points and 11 rebounds.

The Greyhounds have lost three in a row overall, but have had the Saints number lately winning the past five meetings between the schools. Loyola dropped a 62-50 decision Friday at Manhattan, although MAAC Preseason Player of the Year Katie Sheahin did not see action for the Greyhounds.
