LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women’s Basketball hosts Marist in the fourth of four doubleheaders with the Siena men at the Times Union Center on Thursday, January 18 at 5 p.m. The Saints are 1-2 in the three games played at the Times Union Center this season.

This is the fourth of four doubleheaders the Siena women have with the men at the Times Union Center. Dating back to last season, the Saints have a won three of their last five when playing in a doubleheader with the men at the Times Union Center. The Saints are 34-24 (.586) at the Times Union Center during the regular season and 43-40 (.518) in the Times Union Center history.
Marist leads the all-time series 34-31 and holds a one-game winning streak in the series against the Saints. The Red Foxes have won 23 of the last 25 games played, but the Saints snapped a 25-game winning streak in the 2015-16 season. Siena and Marist have been playing each other longer than any other league members as the two first faced each other in the 1977-78 season, which was just the third season of basketball for the Saints.
Siena is coming off a three-game losing streak. The Saints have not lost three-league games in a row since the 2015-16 season. This is the third time in the season Siena will play three-games in a seven day span. The first time the Saints went 1-2 and the second time Siena went 2-1. Senior guard Kollyns Scarbrough is leading the team averaging 16.4 points per game. She is the reigning MAAC Player of the Week after tallying 32 points and 14 rebounds against Canisius for her fourth double-double of the season, she followed that up with a 19 points and 10 rebounds campaign at Niagara. Over the past seven games, Scarbrough is averaging 21.9 points per game. Candela Hermida came off the bench in just her third game played for Siena and knocked down two treys and a jumper for eight points. All eight of her points came in the third quarter against Niagara.
Marist enters the game holding a 4-1 record which stands as second in the league with their only loss coming to undefeated (7-0) Quinnipiac. The Red Foxes are coming off a 71-63 victory over Fairfield where they began the contest limiting the Stags to just two points in the first quarter while adding 17 of their own. Marst was up 42-19 at the half after scoring 51.9 percent from the field. Grace Vander Weide finished the game with her first career double-double, scoring 14 points and pulling down 10 rebounds. Sophomore Rebekah Hand leads the way for the Red Foxes averaging 15.5 points per game and grabbing down 6.1 rebounds.
