LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball will host its 12th Annual Pink Zone Game this Friday night, January 20th, when the Saints battle Fairfield at 7 p.m. at the Alumni Recreation Center. The Saints raised a record $20,650 for the Capital Region Action Against Breast Cancer (CRAAB!) last season and have set a goal of $25,000 for this year's event.

"We are extremely excited and greatly looking forward to hosting this special game again this year," said head coach Gina Castelli. "The support for this great event over the years by the Capital Region community has been tremendous. It is my sincere hope that everyone will get involved and help us reach our goals this year as we look to help fight the battle to defeat breast cancer once and for all."

Tickets to the game are just $6 for adults and $3 for children age 13 and under. Fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in an attempt to "Pink Out" the ARC and those who wear pink will receive $2 off their ticket.

Early arrivals have the opportunity to receive a pink t-shirt or pink pom poms. Doors open at 6 p.m. and fans who have not yet purchased tickets can do so at that time by visiting the Marcelle Athletic Complex Ticket Office.

CRAAB! will have tables and displays set up around the gym with vital information on the fight against breast cancer and there will also be a silent auction and raffle items. Those interested also have the opportunity to make a donation at any time during the game.

Just before tip-off the Saints will hold a special survivor's recognition honoring local breast cancer survivors on to the court recognizing their courageous battles against the disease and Siena players will once again wear custom made pink uniforms.

Four exceptional team players in the Capital Region's battle against breast cancer will be recognized for their efforts as the 2012 "Power Up the Pink" awardees. They include the President of New York Oncology Hematology Dr. Nini Wu, Rumors Salon and Day Spa founders Marri Aviza and Lisa Norgrove and Siena College student Nicole Cochetti.

Groups of 10 or more who wish to attend the game should contact Marketing Manager and Siena Athletics Pink Zone Coordinator Laura Menges for more details. She can be reached at lmenges@siena.edu or (518) 782-6769.
