LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Women’s Basketball hosts Niagara in the third of four doubleheaders with the Siena men at the Times Union Center on Sunday, January 7 at 1 p.m. The Saints are 1-1 in the two games played at the Times Union Center this season.

This is the third of four doubleheaders the Siena women have with the men at the Times Union Center. Dating back to last season, the Saints have a won three of their last four when playing in a doubleheader with the men at the Times Union Center. The Saints are 34-23 (.596) at the Times Union Center during the regular season and 43-39 (.524) in the Times Union Center history.
While the Saints lead the series against the Purple Eagle, 46-29, in the last 10 meetings the series has been tied 10-10. In those last 10 meetings, two have gone to overtime and eight of the 10 have been decided by nine points or less. The 46 wins over Niagara are the second most wins against any program in Siena history. The most wins over any program is Canisius as the Saints have won 49 against the Golden Griffs.
Siena is coming off a two-game winning streak after taking down both Iona 64-51 at the Alumni Recreation Center and Rider 71-67, in overtime, on the road. The Saints enter the game with a 7-7 overall and 2-1 league record. Siena is led by senior guard Kollyns Scarbrough who is averaging 14.4 points per game and shot a league-high 50% from the field. She has led the Saints in scoring in nine of their 14 contests. Deja Rawls sits in fourth in the MAAC averaging 3.6 assists per game while producing a 1.6 assist to turnover ratio.
Niagara comes into the matchup on a two-game losing streak after winning the previous three. The Purple Eagles come into the contest falling at both Fairfield in overtime, 59-53 and at Quinnipiac 77-61. When playing on the road, Niagara holds a 2-7 record. The Purple Eagles are led by red-shirt senior Victoria Rampado who is leading the league averaging 20 points per game and is second in the league with 9.6 rebounds per game. Kaylee Stroemple adds 12.5 points per game to the Purple Eagles lineup.
