LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -
Women's basketball looks to win its third straight game as it plays Canisius Tuesday evening at 7 p.m. The game will be televised in the Capital Region on Time Warner channel 3 and carried in Buffalo as well.
Siena (3-7, 1-0) cruised past Niagara 66-49 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference opener Sunday afternoon in Loudonville. It was the second sterling defensive performance for the Saints. They're allowing just 47 points/game in those wins.
Allie Lindemann led all players and matched her season-high with 21 points while Serena Moore posted her second double-double of the season and Sarah Fullmer recorded a career-high six blocks.
Canisius (5-7, 0-1) enters tonight on a five-game slide after losing its MAAC opener to Marist 73-37. The Golden Griffins have the worst offense in the league (50.6 ppg) but the second best defense (57.0 ppg).
Brittane Russell, the 2009 MAAC Defensive Player of the Year, leads the team in scoring (11.7 ppg) and Ellie Radke, the 2009 MAAC Sixth Player of the Year, is second on the team with 10.8 ppg.
Fans can also keep up with the Saints on the radio at WVCR 88.3 'The Saint' with Chad Cooper and with live stats.
