DETROIT, MICH. - Gunta Basko notched her seventh double-double of the season with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead Siena past Detroit 63-56 Saturday afternoon in the Motor City. The victory was the Saints' sixth in a row following an 0-3 start.

The Saints (6-3/2-0 MAAC) got balanced scoring with six different players scoring more than seven points. Hometown product Mary McKissack (Detroit, Mich./Communications and Arts) scored 10 and put the game away with a crucial three-pointer in the final minutes.

The two teams traded the lead several times in the first half, finishing the first 20 minutes tied at 32. Siena broke in front to start the second half with a 15-6 run. The Titans (4-4) never pulled closer than three points the rest of the game. The game marked the fourth game in a row the Saints held their opponent to fewer than 60 points.

Molly Peterman scored her 1000th point for Detroit and was one of three players with 10 points for the losers.

Siena takes another week off before traveling to Philadelphia to face Penn Saturday. Tipoff in the Palestra is set for 1:00 p.m.
