LAWRENCEVILLE, N.J.--Junior forward Liene Jansone compiled 27 points and 15 rebounds to lead Siena to a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference victory over Rider Sunday afternoon.

Trailing 25-16, Siena (4-2, 2-0 MAAC) went on a 12-2 run, four points by Jansone, to end the first half with a 28-27 lead. Siena then began the second half with an 11-0 run, five of those 11 by Mary McKissack, to take a 37-27 lead with 17:12 left to play. McKissack finished with 10 points.

For Rider (3-3, 1-1), sophomore Katie Hall (Rock Tavern, NY/Burke Catholic) scored 20 points, making four three-point field goals. Hall's three-point field goal cut the lead to 41-34 with 15:39 to play, before Siena went on a 10-3 run, four points by Jansone, to take a 51-37 lead with 11:34 remaining.

Siena senior forward Gunta Basko, the MAAC Player of the Year and a Kodak All-American, compiled 12 points, 11 rebounds, six steals and four assists before fouling out. Senior guard Erica Anderson added 17 points and five rebounds for the Saints.

Sophomore Leanne Moore (Norristown, PA) had 12 points, eight rebounds and three blocked shots for the Broncs.

The Saints are back in action this Tuesday, December 10 at home when they host Holy Cross. Game-time is set for 7:00 p.m.
