WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. - Monmouth shot 53.4% from the field and received 39 bench points in a thorough 80-57 win over Siena Women's Basketball in the regular season finale. The Saints, which will be seeded 10th in next week's MAAC Championships, will face No. 7 seed Manhattan in the First Round Thursday at 11:30 a.m. at the MassMutual Center in Springfield, Mass.

Siena finishes regular season action 8-21 overall and 3-17 in the MAAC. The Saints and Manhattan split their two regular season meetings with each side claiming wins on the road.

On Sunday, Ida Krogh led the Saints with 16 points and Kelsey Booth added 11 points and seven rebounds off the bench. Siena shot 20-23 from the free throw line, but shot just 31.5% from the field and 3-19 from beyond the arc.

Monmouth (7-24, 6-14) went on a 9-0 run to reclaim the lead for good at 17-10 midway through the first half. The Hawks led 41-32 at the break and by double figures for all but the first 15 seconds of the second half. Monmouth shot 8-16 from three, but was equally strong inside outrebounding the Saints 42-30 and holding a 17-2 edge in second chance points.

Chevannah Paalvast and Mia Hopkins scored 15 points apiece for Monmouth which snapped an eight-game losing streak. Helena Kurt and Sophie Beaudry added 12 and 10 points respectively for Monmouth which will be the No. 9 seed in the MAAC Tournament.
