LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Women's Basketball shot just 28.8% from the field as Fairfield defeated the Saints 57-47 in front of a crowd of 1,191 on National Girls and Women in Sports Day at the ARC.
Fairfield (19-8, 14-4) received a balanced scoring effort as four starters scored in double figures in leading the Stags to their seventh straight win.

Fairfield held a slim 29-27 lead after a back and forth first half that featured five ties and seven lead changes. But the Stags opened the second half on an 11-3 run to go up by double digits which proved to be too much to overcome.
Siena was able to keep within striking distance for most of the game thanks to winning the battle of the glass against the bigger Stags, 40-32. Sixteen offensive rebounds helped pace the Saints to a 14-1 edge in second chance points.
