Four Saints scored in double figures as Siena College defeated Rider University, 78-47, in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon in Lawrencevile, N.J. With the win, the Green and Gold swept a two-game road trip that began with a win over St. Peter's on Thursday evening.

The Saints (14-10, 10-5 MAAC) jumped out to a 31-9 lead and never looked back. Siena shot 48.5 percent from the floor compared to Rider's 30.4 percent and outrebounded the Broncs 43-29 for the victory.

Siena made eight three-point field goals, dished out 24 assists and had 10 steals.

Siena was led by Jolene Johnston's 15 points and five assists. Lauren Surber (13 points), Shimrit Gigi (13 points) and Sherron Burgess (10 points) also put up double figures.

For Rider (4-19, 2-12 MAAC), senior Lauren Thomer (Philadelphia, PA/Archbishop Ryan) tallied 12 points and three assists, while junior Katie Hall (Rock Tavern, NY/Burke Catholic) added 10 points.

The Saints will next face Manhattan College this Friday, February 20th at home. Game-time is scheduled for 7pm.
