LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena trailed through most of the game but rallied down the stretch to edge Rider 69-63 Friday night in the ARC. Siena led for only two of the game's 40 minutes but nonetheless came away with its 14th consecutive victory and 24th in a row against a MAAC opponent.

Gunta Basko (Olaine, Latvia/Riga Secondary #3) made three consecutive three-pointers over a three-minute stretch that pulled Siena even at 61 after trailing 57-50. Basko scored 22 of her game-high 26 points in the second half, including 15 of Siena's final 23 points. She added seven rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks.

Liene Jansone (Riga, Latvia/Riga Secondary #45) added 17 points and eight rebounds for Siena (14-3/9-0 MAAC) which shot 45 percent from the field.

Rider (4-14/3-6 MAAC) took the game to the Saints from the outset and led almost all of the game's first 38 minutes. Katie Hall led the Broncs with 16 points while Leanne Moore and Becky Hower each had 13.

The Saints 14 wins in a row and 24 straight against conference opponents are both the second-longest streaks in the nation. With the win, Siena stays two games ahead of St. Peter's in the conference race.

Siena hits the road to close out a seven-game, 16-day stretch against Iona on Sunday. Tipoff in the Mulcahy Center is set for 2:00 p.m.
