LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. -

Siena (13-3/8-0 MAAC) led 43-30 at halftime on 55 percent shooting and never led by less than 10 in the second half. Siena shot exactly 50 percent for the third straight game. The Saints also won the rebounding battle by four and committed five fewer turnovers than the Greyhounds (7-10/1-7 MAAC).

Gunta Basko (Olaine, Latvia/Riga Secondary #3) led the Saints with 21 points, six rebounds, four assists, four blocks and four steals. Liene Jansone (Riga, Latvia/Riga Secondary #45) made eight of ten shots and finished with 20 points and six rebounds. Senior Chrissy Loeliger (Springfield, PA/Villa Maria) came off the bench to post season-highs of 11 points and six assists.

Shontrese Smith led the visitors with 20 points while Katie Netherton finished with 10 points and six rebounds.

Siena's 13 wins in a row are second nationally behind Connecticut's 20 straight wins. The Saints 23-game conference winning streak trails only Louisiana Tech's 70 in a row.

The Saints return to action on Friday against Rider. The two teams meet for the second time in seven days. Siena beat Rider 79-56 last Friday. Tipoff is set for 7:00 p.m. in the ARC on the Siena campus.
