ALBANY, N.Y. - Sophomore Liene Jansone tied a career-high with 28 points leading four Siena (10-3/5-0 MAAC) double figures scorers in an 81-64 victory over Niagara University (2-13/0-6) at Pepsi Arena Sunday afternoon. The win was the 10th straight for the Saints and their 20th consecutive triumph over a conference foe.

Junior star Gunta Basko registered her sixth straight double-double of the season with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Erica Anderson and Jolene Johnston scored 10 apiece for the victors rounding out Siena's double-digit scorers.

Jessica Kemp led the visitors with 18 points as Niagara trailed just 37-31 at the half. The Purple Eagles shot just 33% from the field and 7% from beyond the three-point stripe.

The game was the first half of a men's/women's double-header that featured an appearance by WNBA star Sheryl Swoopes as part of the Siena W.A.Y. (Women Assisting Youth) program.

The Siena women return to the hardwood on Wednesday evening against Marist. Game-time is set for 7 p.m.
