Men's Tennis Dominates Holy Cross

Final Stats

Siena won all six singles matches and all three doubles matches in an easy 7-0 win at Holy Cross Sunday afternoon. Siena improved its record to 2-1 on the season with the win.

Jeremy Deuel defeated Matt Werzel 6-1 and 6-4 at top singles and Nick Rutherford followed with a 6-2 and 6-0 win at second singles. Stefan Putyera and Jay Godbole each took straight set decisions at third and fourth singles respectively and Kevin Gioia and Jose Loren won easily at fourth and fifth singles.

Deuel and Rutherford easily won 8-2 at top doubles. Putyera and Gioia took an 8-5 decision at second dubles and Godbole paired with Chris Auffredou for an 8-5 win at third doubles.

The Saints begin MAAC play against Marist on Tuesday in Loudonville.
