Marist Blanks Siena Men in First Round of MAAC Tennis Championship

The second-seeded Marist men's tennis team defeated Siena 7-0 on a rainy Friday evening to advance to the semifinals of the MAAC Championship. The Red Foxes began the evening by capturing the doubles point when the No. 2 team of Ray Josephs and Alain Boletta and the No. 3 team of Sean Tully and Jeff Nguyen came out victorious.

Senior John Michalsin played an outstanding match at second singles, narrowly falling to Brendon Van Wesbeek in three sets.

Pedro Genovese, Brendon Van Wasbeek, Ray Josephs, Federico Rolon, Frank Algier and Michael Nassif all recorded singles victories for Marist (15-3).
