Saints Blanked by Stetson

DELAND, Fla. - The Saints were handily defeated in their Spring Opener by Stetson, 7-0, in the sunny weather of Deland, Florida February 29. Coming off of a successful fall season the Saints struggled in their return to the court.

Siena was swept in the three double matches. Mike Aliotta showed some promise by winning the first set of his singles match with Elliot Sosbeg of Stetson, but wet on to lose the next two sets. Stetson swept the singles matches as well.

Nick Julia of Siena played a hard fought match in which Stetson's, Hamish Wilman prevailed as the winner (6-3, 6-4). Ben Adrian ended the singles matches defeating the Saints Eric Reuter in straight sets (6-1, 6-1).

Siena continues their road trip in Florida on Tuesday as they take on Bethune-Cookman.
