Men’s Tennis Sneaks Past Lafayette

Siena Men’s Tennis snuck past Lafayette 4-3 to pick up their fourth win of the season.

“ I was happy to see the men win match today after battling in many matches and just not being able to get a W this was good for confidence moving forward,” stated head coach Jeff Osborn.

In doubles, Muhammad Raza Sawani and Matt Bellino took doubles two 7-5. However, courts one and three went in to tiebreakers that would be in favor of Lafayette. Lafayette led 1-0 heading into singles.

In singles play, the Saints came back strong taking four of six courts. With the score tied 3-3 it all came down to court six. Bellino won in three sets, 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 to give Siena the victory.

Siena will conclude their three-match road trip on Sunday, March 4 at Lehigh with the match beginning at 2 p.m.
