“BU had one of the best recruiting classes in the nation and is a very solid team this year and I am very happy how close a lot of the matches went,” said head coach Jeff Osborn. “We have a tough non-league schedule this year but hoping it gets us ready for our tough MAAC conference matches.”
While Kirkwood and Sawani battled, they were unable to come out with the doubles victory which led to BU sweeping to go up 1-0 heading into singles play.
In singles play, Sawani went a tough three sets but fell 6-3, 4-6, 6-3. Guillermo Lopez Torres and Geovanny Mendoza played hard fought battles with BU but fell in straight sets. Siena would fall on all six singles courts for BU to take the victory 7-0.
