Saints Settle for Tie at Niagara
For the third straight time, Siena men's soccer left Niagara Field with the exact same result. The Saints and Purple Eagles played to yet another 1-1 tie in Western New York as Siena captured its first point in conference action.

Despite dropping their first conference match of the season last Sunday, Siena (7-6, 3-1) remains tied for first place halfway through the MAAC slate. Siena, Loyola and Iona all enter their matches this weekend with nine points in conference play.

Niagara (8-0-4, 2-0-1) however is hot on the trios' heels with seven points in conference action. The Purple Eagles enter today's matchup as one of just four remaining undefeated programs in the country along with Cornell, Xavier and top-ranked Maryland. The Purple Eagles are receiving 30 votes in this week's NSCAA Coaches' Poll - tied for the 28th most in the nation.

But Siena is no stranger to playing their best when facing their toughest of opponents. Last season the Saints went 2-1-1 against teams that were either nationally ranked or receiving votes in the NSCAA poll.

Today marks the 24th all-time meeting between the programs in what has become a hotly contested matchup in recent years. Over the past five seasons, the teams have played to three ties with each side earning one hard fought win.

Ivey Speight has the call of today's major matchup on Siena All-Access beginning with pregame coverage at 2:45 p.m. In addition to play-by-play commentary, the match includes multiple camera angles and graphics.
