LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Three decades of distinguished Siena men's soccer alumni decorated Siena Turf Field this past Saturday after the current Saints dispatched with the Temple Owls. The alums included All-Conference performers, a MAAC Rookie of the Year, top scorers and captains of years gone by. Some showed glimpses of re-captured skills, if for just one day, but most enjoyed former teammates company, shared laughs and stories, and regained the prideful feeling of wearing the Green and Gold.

"I think the entire day was a huge success," said head coach Gareth Elliott. "From the good performance of the current team to the enjoyable alumni game, we could not have scripted it better."

Elliott encourages more alumni to turn out for next year's game as well as attend matches throughout the season.

"The more alums that come back to Siena and lend their support, the better we will ultimately be. As they say, `the bigger the tree, the bigger the roots'."
