Henry Named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Senior goalkeeper Patrick Henry (LaGrangeville, N.Y./Arlington) was named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week for the week of September 11, as announced by the conference today.

Henry anchored the Siena defense on Saturday versus nationally ranked Fordham University (No. 14). He posted eight saves and allowed just one goal in the double overtime thriller. Henry currently stands seventh on the Siena College career saves list with 230, just four short of moving into sixth all time.

Henry is 1-3-0 in goal for the Saints this season with a goals-against average of 1.18. He currently holds a .808 save percentage and has tallied 21 saves on the year. Last year Henry was a New York State All-Region selection and posted 71 saves. He was named to the MAAC All-Academic Team for the second straight year and MAAC Defensive Player of the week for the Week of 9/26/05.

The Saints are 1-3-1 on the season and travel to cross-town rival UAlbany on Wednesday at 4:00 p.m.
