The Siena men's soccer team lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference match, falling to Rider University, 1-0 in Lawrenceville, N.J. Friday on afternoon.
The Broncs scored in the 39th minute and held off a tenacious Saints attack for the shutout.
Broncs Senior Sandro DeCristofaro took a pass from sophomore Paul Ha and scored his fourth goal of the season with seven minutes left in the first half.

The Saint's first threat came when senior co-captain Joe Vitale took a shot off the post. In the 41st minute, senior midfielder, Thomas Bianco blasted a ball into the box that Broncs goalie Daniel Riverso redirected wide. In all, Siena had eight shots to Riders nine and held an 8-2 corner kick advantage.
Saints keeper Patrick Henry made three saves in the game. Rider Riverso had two. The Saints record falls to 2-11-5 (2-4-2 MAAC), while Rider improves to 4-13 (4-4 in conference play). The victory snapped Rider's five game losing streak.
Siena travels to Loyola on Sunday at 1 p.m. in the final game of the regular season.
