Steve Covino '10 begins his second season in his second stint as an assistant coach with the Saints. He served as a volunteer assistant on staff during the 2011 season.

A native of Bristol, Conn., Covino was named to the NSCAA/Performance Subaru All-North Atlantic Region Team and to the All-MAAC Second Team as a senior in 2010. That season he posted career highs with eight goals and 20 points. Covino played in 71 games over his career with the Saints, making 69 starts. He was also named to the All-MAAC Second Team following his sophomore season.

Covino became the first student athlete in Siena Soccer history to sign a professional contract, inking a deal with FC New York of the United States Soccer League in 2011. He previously played in the PDL with the Western Mass Pioneers in 2010 appearing in 14 matches and scored a goal. Most he recently he played with theConnecticut FC Azul of the Premier Development League of the United Soccer League in 2012.
