Brent Herbst to Play for MLL College All-Stars

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse goalie Brent Herbst '10 will play in the 2010 Warrior Major League Lacrosse Challenge on Sunday, June 6 at 2:30 p.m. at the Yale Bowl in New Haven, Conn. The MLL College All-Stars represent the top 26 seniors in the country and will face the U.S. Men's National Team. Herbst and the other college all-stars are also invited to the MLL collegiate draft which will take place on the Yale Campus later that evening at 7 p.m. and will air live on Universal Sports and ESPN3. Herbst (Plainview, N.Y./Plainview JFK) is one of three goalies on the MLL College All-Stars. He is a two-time USILA (United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association) All-American Honorable Mention and a 2010 Scholar All-American. He earned the win in the North/South All-Star Game last Friday. Herbst had a 7.89 GAA and a .594 save percentage in 17 games this past season. He had a 12-4 record and led the Saints to their second consecutive undefeated regular season MAAC championship. Herbst won MAAC Defensive Player of the Year and earned MAAC First Team honors. The 2010 MLL Collegiate Draft will include eight rounds. No MAAC Lacrosse League school has ever had a player drafted. MLL began play in 2001 and is currently comprised of six teams across the United States and Canada.
