SMITHFIELD, R.I. - MAAC Champion Siena Lacrosse faces Northeast Conference victor Bryant in an NCAA play-in game at 4 p.m. in Smithfield, R.I. The winner will advance to face No. 2 seed Syracuse in the First Round of the NCAA Tournament Sunday at 7:30 p.m. at the Carrier Dome on ESPNU.

Today's game will be webstreamed online at NEC Front Row. Click the watch link at the top of the release to view the game.

Siena (11-5) looks to secure the program's third NCAA Tournament appearance. The Saints have twice qualified for the NCAA Tournament in both 2009 and 2011. Both times the Saints faced Syracuse and are hoping for a return trip to the Carrier Dome where Siena opened its 2014 season with a 19-7 defeat at the hands of the Orange.

But first the Saints will have to get past the three-time defending NEC Champions Bryant (14-4). The Bulldogs are ranked 19th in this week's USILA Coaches' Poll and 16th in the Warrior Media Poll and boast three wins over nationally ranked opponents and are a perfect 3-0 vs. teams in the NCAA Tournament field with wins over UAlbany, Drexel and Richmond.

The Saints are 2-15 all-time against USILA Coaches' Poll top-20 teams and lost earlier this season on the road to top ranked Syracuse and at No. 20 Hofstra.

Today's game marks the Saints' NCAA-high 12th true road game of the season. The Saints' seven wins are tied with Drexel for the most nationally and includes an 11-7 road win in Saturday's MAAC Championship Game at Marist.

This will be the first-ever meeting between Siena and Bryant. The Bulldogs have only been a varsity program since 2000 and did not join the Division I ranks until 2009. Nonetheless Bryant has been one of the most successful lacrosse teams in the nation over its 15 years of existence, posting a 166-86 (.659) all-time record including a 66-38 (.635) mark in six Division I seasons.
