It took his fourth and final year but Brent Herbst, arguably the best goalie in MAAC history, won Defensive Player of the Year and made the All-MAAC First Team for the first time in his career. The All-American goalie leads the league and ranks in the nation's top-10 in save percentage (3rd, .593) and GAA (7th, 8.08) this season and owns an 11-3 record. Ryan Duggan joined Herbst as a major award winner, collecting MAAC co-Offensive Player of the Year along with Mount St. Mary's Cody Lehrer at Thursday evening's awards banquet held at Marist College. The awards and All-MAAC teams are voted on by the league's nine head coaches.
Siena was presented the 2010 MAAC regular season championship trophy for running the table with a perfect 8-0 league record this season.
Mount coach Tom Gravante was named Anaconda Sports MAAC Coach of the Year and Marist's Connor Rice won Rookie of the Year.
Duggan leads the Saints with a balanced offensive game. He has 24 goals and 24 assists (14th NCAA) in 15 games this season. He erased a three-goal deficit with two goals and an assist in the final six minutes at Mount St. Mary's on April 24 and the Saints won it in the final minute. That was Mount's only league loss of the season.
Bryan Neufeld and Duncan Seale joined Herbst on the All-MAAC First Team.
Neufeld leads the team with 36 goals (T-13th) in the nation. He has scored a point in all 32 games during his career placing him fifth on the national point scoring streak list.
Seale stepped in as a starting close defenseman this season and helped a young unit develop into the ninth best defense in the nation (8.2 goals/game). He shut down First Team selection Corey Zindel who ranks in the nation's top-15 in assists (5th) and points (12th) on April 21, limiting him to just one assist and three shots. Seale finished the regular season with 13 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers.

Kyle Vercruysse joined Duggan on the All-MAAC Second Team.
Dunn, a three-time All-MAAC Second Team selection, has started 13 of 15 games at first line midfield this season and currently ranks third on the team with 25 points. He has five multi-goal games.
This is Rogener's first All-MAAC selection. He started seven of 15 games this season and has 25 points on 14 goals and 11 assists. He is second on the team with 45 ground balls.
Vercruysse has started 10 games at defense and has 16 ground balls and five caused turnovers. He held down All-American Johns Hopkins attackman Kyle Wharton in a one-goal loss earlier this season. Wharton had one goal and one assist in the game after leading the Blue Jays with 34 goals the year before.
The No. 1 seeded Saints will face the No. 4 seeded Red Foxes in the MAAC Tournament semifinals Friday evening at 7 p.m.
