Saints Fend Off Canisius on Senior Day
Richie Hurley is running away with the MAAC scoring title. The red-shirt junior captain posted his third seven-point game of the season as Siena Lacrosse outlasted Canisius 10-7 on the Saints' Senior Day.

Siena (9-5) makes its sixth straight MAAC Tournament Appearance and seventh in the past eight seasons after having never previously qualified for the conference championships in the program's first 11 seasons in the league. The Saints are 7-4 all-time in MAAC Tournament play, winning conference titles in both 2009 and 2011 and have advanced to the conference championship game in each of the past five seasons.

Canisius (7-7) was one of three teams that finished in a five-way tie for second place in the MAAC and qualified for the conference tournament via a tiebreaker. Making the program's seventh MAAC Tournament Appearance, the Golden Griffins have won the championship in each of their past two appearances in 2008 and 2012.

Canisius leads the all-time series with Siena 18-8, but the Saints have won six of the past meetings. The Golden Griffins lone win over the Saints during those past seven matchups was here in Poughkeepsie in the 2012 MAAC Championship Game. Siena won the regular season meeting between the programs 10-7 in Loudonville on Mar. 29.
