Siena (5-8) and UAlbany (10-3) meet for the 35th time with the Great Danes holding a 25-9 edge. UAlbany has won 15 of the past 16 meetings including six in a row in Loudonville with the Saints last home win coming in 1988.
With the rise of both program's beginning in the early 2000's, the playing field has been leveled in recent years and led to some great matchups. The last four meetings have each been decided by two goals or less and by a total of just five goals. Last season UAlbany escaped with a 14-13 win at John Fallon Field.

Siena faces its third top-10 opponent this season in what has been the most challenging schedule in the program's 50-season history. The Saints are just 1-13 all-time vs. USILA Top-20 teams with their lone win a 5-4 triumph at then 18th ranked Loyola on Mar. 18, 2008.
The Saints will look to their balanced scoring attack to keep pace with the potent Great Danes offense. Siena is one of just seven teams that has six players with 20 or more points and possesses five of the top-eight scorers in the MAAC.
Meanwhile UAlbany, which is ranked 10th in both this week's USILA Coaches' and Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Polls, boasts the nation's top scoring offense at 15.9 goals per game - more than a goal and a half ahead of the second place team. Additionally, the Great Danes lead the nation in assists per game, points per game and shot percentage and rank fifth in groundballs.
UAlbany is led by the potent Thompson trio of Lyle, Miles and Ty which combine to average 14 points per game. Lyle Thompson leads the nation in both scoring (89) and assists (51) and has paced the Great Danes to six straight wins.
