LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Lacrosse red-shirt junior captain Richie Hurley has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season. The Setauket, N.Y. native tallied a game-high seven points and scored a season-high six goals as the Saints clinched the MAAC Regular Season Championship for the sixth time in the past eight years with an 18-12 win at Quinnipiac Saturday.

Hurley, who was also tabbed the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for the weeks of Mar. 10 and Mar. 17, scored five of his six goals during a remarkable 10-goal run which rallied the Saints from a four-goal deficit to take a six-goal lead. Following another huge performance, Hurley now ranks fourth nationally in points per game (4.92) and fifth in assists per game (2.92).

Earlier Monday, the Saints were listed amongst teams also receiving votes in the latest USILA Coaches' Poll. It marked the first time since the Week of Apr. 9, 2012 that the Saints received consideration to be ranked in the top-20.

This is the 13th time in program history that the Saints have either received votes or been nationally ranked in the poll with each occasion coming in the past six years. The Saints reached a peak national ranking of 20th in the USILA Coaches' Poll on the Weeks of May 9 and June 1, 2011.

Hurley and the Saints look to retain Capital Region bragging rights when they travel to crosstown rival UAlbany for a 7 p.m. faceoff Tuesday night at John Fallon Field. Like Siena, the Great Danes are also receiving votes in this week's USILA Coaches' Poll as well as the Warrior Media Poll. The game will be televised throughout New York on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.
