Saints Rout Detroit, Win Sixth Straight
Detroit may have been the preseason favorite to win the MAAC, but Saturday Siena showed it's still the team to beat. The Saints broke open a 5-5 third quarter tie with nine unanswered goals and routed the Titans 15-8 in Michigan. The surging Saints have won six straight overall and 14 straight MAAC road games.

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Winners of three of their past four games, Siena Lacrosse looks to continue its momentum when the Saints host Detroit in a key MAAC battle at 1 p.m. at Siena Turf Field. The game will be televised throughout New York on Time Warner Cable SportsChannel.

Surging Siena (4-7, 2-1) is coming off of a 16-6 throttling of defending MAAC Champion Canisius last Saturday. Siena has won 32 of its last 34 conference regular season games including 16 of their last 17 at home.

Detroit (2-7, 2-2) is the only MAAC team to leave Siena Turf Field victorious in the past six seasons, having earned a 13-11 victory over the Saints two years ago. The Titans, which finished second in the MAAC Standings a year ago to the Saints, rank fifth nationally in caused turnovers (10.0) and 10th in man-down efficiency (75.0%).



Siena has won three of four all-time meetings since the fledgling Detroit program joined the MAAC in 2010. Last season, the Saints broke open a 5-5 third quarter tie with nine unanswered goals in a 15-8 win in the Motor City.
