LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - For the third time this year Siena Lacrosse's Tommy Cordts is the MAAC Defensive Player of the Week. The red-shirt sophomore goalie made nine saves in the Saints' 10-7 win over Canisius Saturday.

Cordts, who was previously named MAAC Defensive Player of the Week on both Feb. 24 and Mar. 10, posted a .563 save percentage against the Golden Griffins. The East Northport, N.Y. native made four of his nine saves in the final quarter, slowing down a Canisius offense which had scored 14 goals in upsetting 13th ranked UAlbany on the road earlier in the week.

Cordts has been tremendous over his last five games, posting a 7.28 goals against average and .600 save percentage.

Cordts and the Saints travel to Hofstra Saturday for a 7 p.m. faceoff. The Pride was ranked 20th in today's USILA Coaches' Poll and tied for 16th in the Warrior Media Poll.
