LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Lacrosse senior captain Danny Martinsen has been named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week. The conference's Preseason Player of the Year, Martinsen tallied five points in the Saints' win at Big East foe Providence Saturday.

The Smithtown, N.Y. native netted a hat trick an added two assists as the Saints beat a Friars team which had entered the week amongst teams also receiving votes in the USILA Coaches' Poll. Martinsen factored in the scoring on each of the Saints' first two goals - which gave the team the lead for good - and scored Siena's final goal of the game to seal the win.

Martinsen and the Saints return to action Tuesday when they face third ranked Cornell for a 4 p.m. faceoff in Ithaca, N.Y.
