Richie Hurley ranks fourth nationally in assists per game and fifth in points per game

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - For the second straight week, a pair of Siena Lacrosse student athletes captured two of the MAAC's three weekly honors. Red-shirt junior captain Richie Hurley was named the MAAC Offensive Player of the Week for a second consecutive week and freshman Jordan Barlow earned Rookie of the Week honors for the third time in five weeks.
Hurley tallied 11 points, dishing out 10 assists in two games last week for the Saints. On Wednesday he factored in the scoring on seven of the Saints' nine goals in a 10-9 overtime loss to Robert Morris, accumulating a career-high seven assists. The conference's leading scorer added four more points scoring a man-up goal and adding three assists in Saturday's 9-8 win over defending MAAC Regular Season Co-Champion Marist.
Hurley currently ranks fourth nationally in assists per game (3.0) and fifth in points per game (5.0).
Barlow netted his third hat trick of the season and finished with four points against the Colonials, scoring the game-tying goal with 2:48 remaining in regulation. He added a goal in Saturday's win over the Red Foxes. The freshman attackman currently ranks sixth nationally in shooting percentage (.538) and is tied for third in the MAAC in goals (14) and tied for fourth in points (17).
The Saints continue their four-game homestand Saturday against Monmouth at 1 p.m.
