St. John's Storms Past Saints
St. John's broke open a defensive struggle with five straight goals in just over four minutes midway through the second half in an 8-5 win over Siena Lacrosse Saturday afternoon in Queens. Bryan Neufeld and Colin Clive paced the Saints with two points apiece.

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Lacrosse welcomes emerging Big East power St. John's to Siena Turf Field for a 1 p.m. faceoff today. Fans can follow all the action and watch the game beginning at 12:45 p.m. exclusively online at SienaAllAccess.com.

Siena (1-2) continues its season long three-game homestand looking for its second straight win. The Saints rallied from an early 4-0 deficit last Saturday to beat Binghamton, 9-8.

St. John's (2-1) enters this week receiving votes in both the USILA Coaches' Poll and Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll. The Red Storm are coming off their most productive season since being reinstated when they finished No. 20 in the Nike/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll and advanced to the Big East title game last season.

 

 

St. John's has won 15 of 17 all-time meetings between the programs although the teams have split the past four. The Red Storm won 8-5 last season in Queens, while the Saints earned a 10-4 victory here in Loudonville in 2011.
