Cordts, Barlow Win MAAC Lacrosse Weekly Honors

Jordan Barlow earned his second straight MAAC Rookie of the Week honor

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - For the second straight week, Siena Lacrosse freshman attack Jordan Barlow is the MAAC Rookie of the Week. The Saints claimed two of the conference's three weekly awards, as red-shirt sophomore goalie Tommy Cordts earned MAAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

A native of East Northport, N.Y., Cordts made a career-high 13 saves in the Saints' 13-9 win at Binghamton Saturday. He stopped 59.1% of the shots he faced and also picked up two groundballs.

Barlow posted his second consecutive four-point game, netting a hat trick and adding an assist in the win over the Bearcats. The Glastonbury, Conn. native scored on all three shots he took and scored a goal and added an assist during a late three-goal run that put the game out of reach.



The 2-1 Saints continue their season opening five-game road trip Saturday with a 1 p.m. faceoff at St. John's on ESPN3.
