LOUDONVILLE, NY - Siena Men’s Lacrosse hosts UMass Lowell in their home opener on Saturday, February 24 at 1 p.m. Siena enters the contest having won their season opener at Hobart.
Freshman goalkeeper Anthony Tebbano picked up his first start, first win and first MAAC Rookie of the Week award following his 17-save performance at Hobart. Tebbano tallied his last save of the game in the final two minutes as Siena was up 12-11.
Senior Attack Chris Robertson extended his goal scoring streak to 15 games, which is the 7th longest active streak in Division I. Robertson tallied three goals in the win over the Statesmen. Junior attack Mike Reilly leads the Saints with five points coming off of three goals and two assists. Reilly’s 23 assists last season were just off Siena’s Top-10 single-season assist records. Jack Drillock picked up five ground balls and caused one of the Saints two caused turnovers last game.
UMass Lowell enters the game with a 1-1 overall record having just lost 10-9 at Harvard last Saturday. The River Hawks win comes against Quinnipiac 13-12 in overtime. Sean Tyrell leads UMass Lowell with eight points coming off of five goals and three assists. Grant Lardieri has started both games in goal for the River Hawks and has picked up 17 saves and allowed 17 goals in that time, but Hunter Braun entered the Quinnipiac contest and picked up the win after allowing five goals and picking up two saves.
