Student-Athletes Man Phones at Telethon for 4th Straight Year; Program Donates $500

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena men's lacrosse volunteered at the 49th annual Center for Disability Services telethon Sunday afternoon at the Holiday Inn on Wolf Road. Student-athletes manned the phones for the fourth consecutive year, accepting donations on behalf of the Center for Disability Services. A record $1,876,314 was raised at the telethon. The event was hosted by FOX 23 anchors John Gray, Ann Hughes, Rich Becker and other news station personalities.

"Our program is excited to be associated with the Center for Disability Services," head coach Brian Brecht said. "I am extremely proud that our players, not only are able to give their time but also donate a few dollars to such a good cause."

Captains Kenny Mazzone, Dan Mulhall and Chris Viviano presented a $500 check on behalf of Siena men's lacrosse to the Center for Disability Services.

"The Center for Disability Services provides care to more than 15,000 individuals -newborns to seniors - and their families at 85 locations throughout 9 counties in Upstate New York.
