LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. - Siena Men's Lacrosse falls to Binghamton 10-5 at Siena Turf Field. Senior defender Ryan Ghaderi is now tied for tenth in Siena history with 21 caused turnovers on his career.

Tom Moore led all scorers with four goals and three assists for seven points for Binghamton (3-1). Griffin Konen added two goals for the Bearcats. Four separate Bearcats recorded three ground balls each.

Chris Robertson led Siena (0-6) with two goals. Both Mike Reilly and Ryan Ghaderi picked up five ground balls a piece. Ghaderi caused three turnovers to land himself on the Siena All-Time caused turnovers list.

It was a slow start for both teams, but Binghamton struck first and went up 2-0 in the first quarter. Defensemen Luke Van Schepen came down the field and got one in the cage to put the Saints down 2-1 at the end of the first quarter. The Bearcats added two goals in the second quarter to put them up 4-1 at the half.

Jon-Michael Tokar and Robertson added a goal a piece in the third stanza , but the Bearcats added three goals of their own to lead 7-3 after three. Robertson and Brian Prunty scored back-to-back goals for the Saints in the final stanza. Just like in the third, the Bearcats added three goals of their own in the fourth to take the game 10-5.

Freshman goalie Gage Ponsetti, who made his first collegiate start, recorded 10 saves for the Saints. Both Hunter Sanna and Dylan Pantalone won five faceoffs each.

 

 

Siena heads back out on the road as they travel to Smithfield, Rhode Island to take on Bryant on Tuesday, Mar. 14. Faceoff is set for 3 p.m.
