Siena golf traveled to the Lehigh Invitational this weekend, and both the men and women are in sixth after one round of play. Senior Justin Deitz and junior Cortney Tilley paced the Green and Gold, leading their respective teams with 18 holes to go.

The men shot a 16-over 304 on day one, and are just three shots out of a tie for second in a tightly-bunched field. Deitz is tied for second after a first-round 72, which puts him at even-par behind only individual leader Carter Rufe of Lafayette. Additionally, junior Jess Esposito sits in a massive nine-way tie for ninth after a first-round 75. Seton Hall leads the men's standings after a round-one score of 296.

Meanwhile, Tilley led the women's team with an opening-round 78, tying for eighth. Classmate Megan Cahill is also in the thick of it, tying for 10th after a first-round 79, while freshman Mary Fletcher signed for an 80 that puts her 15th in the 42-player field. Fairleigh Dickinson's Esther Park and Brown's Stephanie Hsieh share the individual lead after both shot matching rounds of 73, while Seton Hall leads the women's standings after a first-round 305. Siena's 329 is 24 shots back, but just nine shots out of third in another bunched-up field.

Play continues Sunday at Saucon Valley Country Club.
