Saints Open Play at Lehigh Invitational

Siena Men’s Golf teed off at its final tournament of the fall season at the Lehigh Invitational played on the Grace Course at the Saucon Valley Country Club in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. The Saints stand tied for ninth place out of 12 teams through the first 18 of 36 holes of action.

Host Lehigh holds the clubhouse lead by eight strokes over both Bucknell and Hofstra who are tied for second. The Saints rank fourth of five MAAC schools in the field, and are currently tied with Lafayette on the overall leaderboard at 16 shots off the pace.

The Mountain Hawks’ Billy Johns was the lone individual to card an under par First Round score and leads the field by two strokes. Senior Michael Christifulli paces the Saints after parring 13 holes in the First Round. Christifulli shot a 75 which is good for a tie for 10th overall, and just four strokes behind Johns.

Freshman Pudge Williams shot 77 and junior Tanner Donovan fired a 79 to round out Siena’s individual leaders.

The Saints will conclude tournament play Saturday with their final round of the fall season which tees off at 8:30 a.m.
