McGraw shoots second best round two score

The Siena men’s golf team finished the Cornell Invitational ninth in the 13 team field. The Saints shot ten strokes better than they did on their first day led by Riley McGraw who finished round two with a 73, the second best score in the field.

Four Saints scored less than 80 strokes in round two including David Gushee, Louis Walsh, and Jess Esposito, all finishing with a 78.

For the tournament, Siena was paced by Gushee and McGraw who totaled a 154, good enough for 22nd overall. The tournament’s winner was Binghamton University who also had the individual champion, Josh Holling, only 12 shots better than Gushee and McGraw.

Siena finished six shots behind MAAC foe Canisius, but did defeat fellow conference member Rider by 25 strokes. The squad will next be in action Saturday, Oct. 8 at the Connecticut Cup.
