Men's Golf Finishes Fourth in Season Opener at Navy Fall Golf Invitational

ANNAPOLIS, Md. - Junior Bryan Bigley (Rotterdam, N.Y.) led the Saints to a fourth place finish with a 2-over par 143 to tie for second individually at the Navy Fall Golf Invitational Sunday. Siena finished fouth after sharing the top spot with George Mason after Sunday's round. George Mason claimed the team title by 17 strokes over George Washington and Towson.

St. Joseph's Colin Corrigan was crowned the individual champion after beating out Steve Alminas of Winthrop and Bigley in an 11-hole tie breaker. Bigley had a strong day, shooting a 3-over par 74 in the final round after holding a one shot lead after day one. He finished with a two-round score of 143.

Senior Robby Bigley (Rotterdam, N.Y.) followed up his solid first round performance (74, +3) with a 4-over par 75 to tie for 18th. Junior Allen Parker (Blandford, Mass.) finished in the top 30, posting a 9-over par 151 to tie for 29th. Classmates Jeremy Melchior (Hannawa Falls, N.Y.) and Dennis Gosier (Ganesvoort, NY) (78-78) finished 47th and 57th respectively.

Siena returns to action Sept. 23-25 at the Cornell Invitational played in Ithaca, N.Y.
