Siena Men's Golf Share Top Spot With Loyola at MAAC Championship

ORLANDO, FL--The Siena men's golf team caught up with Loyola College who held a slim five stroke lead over the Saints after the first day of the 2005 JetBlue Airways Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men's Golf Championship at the Magnolia Golf Course at Walt Disney.
The Greyhounds had a team score of 296 in round two of the 54-hole tournament, giving them a team total of 583. The Saints moved in to tie for first place with a round two total of 291 and an overall score of 583. Rider University is in third place with a score of 600, followed by Niagara University with 609. Fairfield University moved into fifth place with a round two score of 306 for a total core of 615. Iona (311-671), Canisius (310-622), Manhattan (336-671) and Saint Peter's (352-694) round out the nine-five man teams.
Sophomore Bryan Bigley (Rotterdam, NY) leads all scorers through round two, shooting six under par for a two-day score of 138. Bigley's teammate, Allen Parker (Blandford, Mass.) is close behind with 140, followed by Rider's Tyler Brewington with 141.
Junior Robby Bigley (Rotterdam, NY) carded a 69 for a two-day total of 145 to move up seven spots (tied for fifth), while fellow teammate Jeremy Melchior (Hannawa Falls, NY) dropped to 26th place with a score of 160 and Brad Myatt (Oneida, NY) carded an 83 and dropped to 31st.
Championship play resume tomorrow with a 6:52 a.m. tee-off.
