The Siena men's golf team fell two spots in the standings on day two, finishing 19th in the 21-team field in the Navy Spring Classic in Anapolis, Md. Jess Esposito was the only Saint to break 80 in the final round, finishing tied for 34th.
John Van Vranken was the only Siena golfer to improve from his first round score. The senior scratched two strokes with a +9 on Sunday.
The University of Virginia and the University of Pennsylvania tied for the team lead in the tournament. Joe Gunerman of Towson was in the individual winner with a 69 in the second round.
This was the final tune up for the Green and Gold before heading to the MAAC Championships in Orlando, Fla. Siena finished sixth in the tournament last season.
