Men's Golf Stands in 17th in Navy Spring Classic

After one day in the Navy Spring Classic in Annapolis, Md., the Siena men’s golf team currently ranks 17th in the 21-team field.  The Saints are just ten shots shy of placing in the top-10.

Once again, Jess Eposito led the way for the Saints with a four-over-par, only five strokes off of the lead. 

Riley McGraw ranks just one shot behind, and stands in 29th. They were the only two Saints golfer to break 80 on day one.

Louis Walsh, John Van Vranken, and Jim Sullivan also participated in the tournament.

The host school, Navy currently holds a tie with the University of Virginia for the overall lead in day one, 20 strokes ahead of Siena. 

Evan Black of Wake Forest and Nick McLaughlin of Virginia are tied for the individual lead, the only two golfers in the field who are currently under par.

This is the final tune up for the Saints before their MAAC Championships, and round two will start tomorrow.
