Bryan Bigley Won the Individual Medal At Lafayette Invitational

CENTER VALLEY, Pa.--Sophomore golfer Bryan Bigley (Rotterdam, NY) shot a one-under par 70 on Saturday to win the Lafayette Invitational at Center Valley with a two-day score of 142. American University, the only squad to crack 300 on either day, claimed the team title by six shots over St. Bonaventure.
Junior Robby Bigley (Rotterdam, NY) finished in a two-way tie with Farleigh Dickerson's Matt Kleinrock who both carded 148 (+7).
Siena was among the top five squads on Saturday, recording a 303. Robby Bigley shot a 75, while Allen Parker holed a 78. Brad Myatt (Oneida, N.Y.) and Jeremy Melchoir (Hannawa Falls, N.Y./) both checked in with 80 and 83 respectively.
Lafayette's Jeremiah O'Neil was the only golfer to break 70 on the weekend, firing a 69 to lead the Lafayette (White) squad to a ninth place finish in the field of 23 teams. There were 118 golfers competing in the event.
American was the only team to score under 300 both days. Conference rivals, Niagara University and Siena finished in a deadlock for third place with a score of 606, while Robert Morris came in fifth (611) and Delaware finished sixth (612). Defending Champion Binghamton University finished in seventh place. 2002 champ Duquesne rounded out the top 10.
