Men's Golf Moves Up One Spot; Finishes 22nd

The Siena Men’s Golf team was able to overtake Robert Morris University, to move up one spot and finish in 22nd place in the Whiting Turner Towson Invitational.  Jess Esposito was the top finisher for the Saints for the third consecutive round.

Esposito would finish tied for 66th in the 117 player field, with an overall score of +24. 

John Van Vranken was one stroke behind Esposito in the third round, finishing 32 over par, good for 94th overall.

The tournament was won by William and Mary, who finished 20 strokes ahead of MAAC foe Loyola University for the win.  The Tribe also had the individual champion, Jeremy Wells who was even par in the tournament.

Five other MAAC schools competed in the event with Loyola finishing second, Fairfield University finishing sixth, Canisius College was 12th, Iona College placed 16th, and Saint Peter’s University was 18th.

Siena will continue their spring schedule, taking part in the Lafayette Invitational which begins Monday, April 8th in Bethlehem, Pa.
