Men's Golf Drops Dual Match to Monmouth

The Siena men's golf team dropped their only dual match of the season, falling to the Monmouth Hawks 16-5 at Jumping Brook Country Club in Neptune, N.J.

Jess Esposito was once again the top finisher for the Saints finishing tied for second of the 14 participants. 

David Gushee, Riley McGraw, and Louis Walsh were the only other Siena golfers to finish in the top-10.  Gushee stopped in sixth place shooting an 82 (+11) while McGraw and Walsh tied for eighth, tallying a 83 (+12).

Under the format, one point is awarded to the low score for each nine-hole segment and for the total 18 holes.  Seven matches were played, with a total of 21 points available.

Monmouth shot only 11 strokes better than the Saints.  Ian Thimble led the field with six over par.

Siena will now participate in the Towson Spring Invitational in Prospect Bay, Md. Starting Easter Sunday.
