GENERAL…Talented lineman who immediately broke into the starting rotation up front as a rookie and will make the transition to the other side of the trenches this fall…Great size and quick feet make him an ideal candidate for pass protection and run blocking…As his experience on offense grows, he figures to be a force to reckon with for opposing lineman.
AT SIENA…As a freshman…Appeared in all 10 games, finishing 9th on the squad with 35 tackles…Led team with three fumble recoveries…Added eight tackles-for-loss and one quarterback sack…Closed year with season-high seven tackle effort and recovered a fumble against archrival Marist (11/16)…Compiled five tackles against Stony Brook (10/26) and Sacred Heart (11/9), registering a fumble recovery in each game as well.
HIGH SCHOOL/PERSONAL…Lettered in football, basketball and track at Horace Greeley…Honored as an All-League, All-Section, All-County and All-State selection as a senior on the gridiron…Also selected Defensive MVP of Section and was recipient of Outstanding Lineman award…The youngest of three children, older sister Elizabeth attended SUNY-Purchase and Laura went to Binghamton…A marketing and management major who aspires to be work for the FBI…The son of James and Cathy Oliveto.
