Siena head coach Mitch Buonaguro, senior captain Kyle Downey and senior guard Conner Fenlon volunteered their Saturday afternoon to serve as celebrity bell ringers for the Salvation Army at the Walmart in Crossgates Commons.

The initiative tipped off an ambitious community service schedule for the Saints over the upcoming winter break. The team will visit several area schools as part of their Adopt-A-School program, help restock the Northeast Regional Foodbank and visit the Children's Hospital at Albany Medical Center in January.

On Friday evening, Davis Martens and Owen Wignot served as celebrity coaches for Brighter Choice Charter School's annual Blue-White game. Earlier in the year, students from the school attended a Siena practice.

"Community service is such an important part of the Siena mission and to our program," head coach Mitch Buonaguro said. "This community really supports Siena basketball, so we want to take every opportunity we can to give back to it."
